Homophobia is a 24-minute gay-themed short film by Gregor Schmidinger. It tells the story of an adolescent boy named Michael. While he serves the Austrian Military Forces, he experiences homosexual feelings towards one of his comrades. The film depicts their last night at the Austrian-Hungarian border, socially isolated and armed with loaded weapons.
The film’s main characters, Michael and Raphael are played by Michael Glantschnig and Josef Mohamed. The cast also includes Günther Sturmlechner, Harald Bodingbauer, Matthias B.uchegger, Marc Dejenyitchi, Marco Lehner, Velizar Lytvynets, Lukas Neumüller and Harald Zenz.
