We Are Animals is a 13-minute gay short film by Dominic Haxton. The film is set in an alternative fable of the 1980’s AIDS crisis. It tells the story of a closeted young man who is thrust into the midst of an anti-government coup and finds that the animal within is stronger than the monsters that oppress.

The films main characters, Nathan and Peter, are played by Daniel Landroche and Clint Napier. The cast also includes George Alvarez, Drew Droege, Jeff O’Connell, Neil Elliot, Dan Sutter, Anthonio Trischitta, Raymond Matsamura, Jon Rosell and Smokey The K-9 among others.
